The Full Story

Daily UX Design Challenge

In order to improve as a UX designer, I decided to embark on a 30 day design challenge. I have posted images of the designs along with insights into my thought process and takeaways.

Day 1: Dial Pad Design
7/19/25

For this design, I used Figma and did some competitive research into different dial pad designs. I wanted to create a design that could be marketed towards teens and young adults, with customizable color palettes. I used Pacifico for the typography and I believe it worked except for the small alphabet at the bottom of each button. Overall, I am happy with this design and I am looking forward to the next challenge.

Day 2: Reservation Page Design
7/28/25

This was a particularly challenging design as I had to figure out how to create visual hierarchy and how to create an accordion component in Figma. There are some elements of this design that I would change, but I believe that the color scheme and typography work well for the style of the hotel. I learned that I have more skills to acquire when it comes to layout of components and frames.

Day 3: Filter Page Design
8/5/25

I used the accordion component multiple times in this design and I believe this is an effective tool to offer the user multiple filters without taking up too much space. A challenge that I ran into is creating components that would not overlap when they were expanded. To further my learning, I will learn more about the auto layout feature on Figma and how to apply it to parts of my design.
